Promised Land SP / Re: Promised Land State Park - Summer 2017

We are in for rafting . I have been rafting with launders for the last 30 plus years once a year when we do our family camping trip at skinner's falls. It really is a lot of fun  you can bring a cooler with some frosty beverages and a sandwich and eat on some big rocks in the middle of the trip. The Delaware is very scenic especially from the waters view, One of the highlights is Narrowsburg is the eagle capitol of the world. Many trips on the river I have seen several bald eagles flying overhead and even baby bald eagles hunting for food along the Delaware river banks . We usually do the trip from skinner's to narrows burg and its about 6.5 miles if the current is strong from the rains it takes about 3 hours with stops along the way for splash and water fights or for a nice cool dip in the Delaware. They have a small country store snack bar at the end where you can get a frozen ice cream bar or beverage  for the free shuttle bus back up to  skinner's where our cars will be parked.

We will be happy to chip in for wood but in addition I have 7 file box size boxes of cut 2x4 s no nails and no paint extreamly dry and ready to burn that we will be contributing as well it's going to be cold at night  we will def need lots of wood

Joe and Dawn, you cant get like 50 Mountain bikers  to come over and put harnesses on like they do on the dog sleds and pull your camper  out of the snow mound lol, probably not feasible, but sure would be fun to watch, * Hold my beer while we pull this camper out of the snow. or you cold just do what i do and snow blow the lawn all the way to the camper . ( my neighbors think i am mental when they see me snow blowing my  lawn ) lol they might actual be on to something!

Mat, you may get your wish to come true. They said they are waiting like joe said till wed so some of it melts off first. I will call back wed afternoon and see how they did.

I called the camp ground today and left a message to call me back regarding the readiness of the sites we have booked as soon as I get a call back. Will let you know what they say about the sites bring plowed etc. supposed to be 60 degrees on Saturday woooohooo

Of course we will bring a brie and smoked Gouda with crackers for Friday night as well.

we would like to do teriyaki vegetable fried rice we will keep it warm in the crock pot when served

we are booked in site B3 should be the 3 of us

Pop-Up Campers / Re: Lite weight campers?
« on: November 01, 2016, 03:53:30 PM »
Jen if they are  ok with an older pop up. Tell them to look for 1983-84 vikings like mine my camper weighs in at 1230 lbs Jamie and i move it by hand around the property. Any of there pop ups in those years 21 feet and under will be way under 1500 and that gives a lot of towing options. and they came with lots of stuff not just a tent on wheels - 3 burner stove ice box sink and 30 gal. holding tank, just have to find someone that took really good care (garaged kept like ours )
