Appliances / Crack in AC Shroud: self-inflicted :(
« on: March 08, 2017, 08:39:37 PM »
While cleaning to caulk the center seam on my PUP's roof, I leaned against the AC shroud front corner. Mistake! It cracked. Center point with three cracks from it, luckily no big holes. UGH!!  :banghead:

I've drilled the ends of the cracks. Now to find a good product to fix it. Yes, it needs fixed it's on a front corner. I've already removed it and cleaned it with Simple Green and hosed it off. I found a YouTube on Q-bond adhesive. It comes with a powder to add as well.

Now to find it.

12-15 year old Cub Cadet lawn tractor. Runs terrific! Looks fair, no rust that I know of, just dirt and a few bumps. Was kept in the shed till last night.

Only reason I'm getting rid of it is divorce. I don't need it at my apartment. What I need is rent money. I'd keep it and use it otherwise.

It has a bagger on it as well with three bags. Mower deck has 3 blades that are staggered. Does a nice job on the lawn. Not shown are the side panels for the engine. I have them, they were taken off when the PTO belt shredded 5 years ago and I just never put them back on. Battery is a few years old. Started right up after sitting all winter.

You can also buy a snowblower attachment for this tractor. I just never did.

I'll try to get better pictures once it stops raining. It is tarped and in my utility trailer, so delivery within reason might be able to be worked in too.

Appliances / LP Fridge Burner Tube Cleaning
« on: April 10, 2014, 09:30:00 PM »
Tried to light the fridge today so it could get cold for the trip. Burned funny (flame too wide, more yellow than blue). Then it started burning back at the edge of the burner box where there are 3 holes in the tube. It did it pretty consistently.

Looking for answers on the forums didn't work as the great tutorial Digger had posted (on another forum) didn't have pictures anymore (dang WebShots!).

Off to YouTube for answers!
Small | Large
has a decent tutorial. It took longer to get the screws out of the pieces I had to work with (the hardest being a screw I could have left alone  >:().

I got quite a bit of ash out of the burner tube, took a little steel wool to the rust at the burner end (very lightly).

Put it back together and it works GREAT!! Dropped temp of fridge 10 degrees in just under an hour  :D

Canvas Classified / 1994 Jayco JaySeries 1006 ST $750
« on: September 03, 2013, 01:44:45 PM »
1994 Jayco JaySeries 1006 ST pop up camper.

GVWR: 2255. Can pull with mini-van or SUV.

The Good:
2 awnings, front awning has screen room and skirting
Storage Trunk in front. No leaks. Exterior doors on either side for access when bunk is pulled out.
King bed in front, Full in back. Dinette is a twin.
new tires in 2010
new lift cables in 2006
3 way fridge : works great
3 burner stove indoor/outdoor hookups
canvas in good condition, no rips in screens, all zippers work
all lights inside and out work

One cabinet modified by removing drawer so stacking drawers would fit in it. Still have drawer if you want to reinstall.
Back awning created. Nice for extra shade and to be able to leave windows open a little if it rains.

The Bad:
Some wood is shredding apart on front and back edge of roof box. Not a problem with operation. Trailer does not leak. Roof caulking was replaced in 2006. I have stored camper in garage since purchase so it has not been out in the weather unless we are camping with it.

Not sure if sink/city water works. Have never used it. Always washed dishes on picnic table.

Location: Loganville, PA, Exit 10 off I-83.
Available: Now, it's all set up to see. We have camped in it several times this year. Was gifted a newer pop-up so this one has to go!
Price: $750, below NADA value.
