Pop-Up Campers / Re: Cleaning the hard Top
« on: December 03, 2017, 09:40:51 AM »
I always used a cleanser like Totally Awesome from the dollar store, than a hard bristle scrub brush and it always took care of any dirt that got imbedded in the roof.

Plumbing & Winterization / Re: Cover a TT or HTT for the winter

Etrailer has decent priced covers for pop ups. I used and now my brother has used the same cover so nice 2011. I always covered the pop up whenever not in use, because it was easy to take on and off.
I also have a cover for the hybrid and its actually not that bad to put on as long as you fold it right when you take it off. I only cover for winter, but it keeps it clean and come spring I can just pretty much go.

Your best bet would to find a business that sells trailers that also does service. Not a camper sales place but utility trailer place like or They usually do work cheaper that an RV place. Thatís what I did with our first tow vehicle and it was pretty inexpensive.

Towing / Re: Truck with cap and a/c?
« on: August 01, 2017, 11:26:11 AM »
I have read on another forum that is what they do with their dogs, cages in the back and they open the rear slider and the air keeps them cool. You can use a n inner tube in between the cab and the cap, that is what we used to do with our old slide in back in the 70's.

General Campfire Discussion / Re: Campground etiquette

RV Park reviews is usually pretty good. Granted you have to read some with a grain of salt because there are a lot of people who either full time or have another idea of camping and don't like kids or fires and need wifi to and cell reception and need to watch they're tv etc etc etc.
The remarks you state though I would probably think twice.

I've driven 1000 miles each way to Florida a couple times. As a kid we used to go to Colorado almost every summer. Mostly though it is weekend trips like you.

Best Regards,

Get nest out and put a piece of screen inside vent door so they don't get back in.

2017 Memories / Re: Pocono Raceway Nascar Camping

We are going to try the Pocono Raceway Campground on Long Pond for the July race. They just renovated it and full hookups is $55 a night. Anne is thrilled....but the girls are excited.
Tent camping at Richmond in two weeks with Cadence, hoping for nice weather.

Add two DDs to our head count for the rally. Neither want to walk. Maybe someone can convince them to fish?

Re: costumes. Hmm. Disney huh? There's a lot that that covers. What Disney are we talking about? Mickey and Minnie and that bunch? Princes and Princesses? Star Wars? Avengers? There's a wide range. I know I have a Superman T. Also have a Queen of Hearts skirt and crown. And the start of a Minnie Mouse dress and ears.

Superman is DC not Marvel, can't cross universes, it will bring on destruction to the planet.
