I look forward every camping trip to taking my boys fishing.  I love fly fishing but really have not done it as mush as I would like in recent years.

I also like trying new things out in the Dutch oven or in the smoker.  I make some awesome spare ribs in both.

We do all of the above with the exception of mountain biking, I just can't seem to get the wife into it. We especially love hiking and photography. Here are a couple of shots I captured last week at Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge:

I like to think I'm fairly good at the DO cooking also.....no ones' died yet!!

Though we often surf fish at Delaware's beaches, we don't consider ourselves experts worthy of giving advice for catching fish ('nuff said  ;D).

However, we're pretty competent (and passionate) birdwatchers and are comfortable identifying/discussing species seen from the Atlantic coast to the west side of the Appalachians.

I'm a wanna-be botanist who'd love to discuss plant life between the mid-Atlantic coast and Appalachians (especially invasive species); I'm also interested in native plant/wildlife landscaping and organic vegetable gardening.

Using a speedy stitcher to sew canvas.  But have learned all I know from watching how to vidoes linked from this site and practice practice practice.  Must admit, it can be a slow go, but I'm a bit afraid to tackle removing entire canvas to repair on parents factory machine and then figuring out how to reinstall.

My family enjoy's checking out new camps that we haven't been to. We take advantage of what the specific park has to offer especially when there is something on their calendar! I enjoy keeping a journal  :reader: either each night or if too busy; I write when we return. I encourage my kids to write their own comments into the journal. Its a great way of hearing the kids view on their likes and dislikes and notes about what I don't need in my boomer, what I do need...just general tips. "Repair canvas or "Need more sugar". We are on our own, so I learn what I learn by myself or through site's such as your handy dandy Canvas camper site.  ;) I'm always looking for ways to save room, have what's needed...what works best.

I also enjoy cooking or serving my pre-cooked meals and always seeking easier ways to set up my kitchen that's attached outside the PUP. I'm excited to do some fire pit meals as I have a small DO I will be venture into what's to cook and how.

DH does some fishing along with our 15yr old but I think he prefers salt water fishing. This is not always done due to the fact you have to have license for each state.
Sitting by fireside is a must...hunting and gather wood for DH and son. When we can we are always looking for ways to make friends or have friends over if we camp locally or if we can talk someone into joining us is fabulous! That's why we are looking for local rally.  8)
