One of these days I want to stay at a Jellystone campground.  There are a few around PA that look nice.

Miles,
This sounds interesting.  Are you guys still planning to do this.  Are you leaving on Saturday?

Miles, Let us know how it is.  We have been thinking bout taking the DGD's there.  I did hear that the sites are kind of small and the shade is pretty scarce, but that could have been from someone that just likes to complain.

According to the web site pictures, there is very little shade. We will create shade with the awning and an ez-up awning. I will definitely post our review of site, shade, friendliness and other things.

Hey Miles,
From the online pictures, I concur about the lack of shade and small spaces.  I had to laugh about the "rules" which stated: "The guest assumes all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping in a rustic outdoors environment."  It's hardly rustic compared to most of the COE and State Park campgrounds that we've been to.  But that isn't why we would go there.  Jellystone is all about the activities.  ..and we're very interested in checking it out.

How do the reservations work?  Did you reserve a specific site?  If we come, we would enjoy a site near you guys.  Are you guys doing a back in site?  ...or a pull through site?

Jason, Reserving a site was easy. I followed the link on the web site. We didn't get to pick our site. We ado get site 99. I think it is a back in site, either way is fine with me. Maybe you could call them and request a specific site. We would love for you guys to join us for a couple of days.

Site 99 looks like it is a pull through site. I'll see if they can put us near you guys. We just need to decide which dates we can be there. Thinking of arriving Thursday evening the 20th, leaving here after the girls' swim lessons are over at 5:30.  Not sure if we'll check out on Saturday or Sunday. Laura needs to help set up for VBS on Sunday. So we might do a late checkout on Saturday.

Did they charge you as a family of 6 even though you are only a family of 5? I find that part of their pricing odd.  ...or even.   :D

I think that means up to six people per site, not sure. The kids will be excited to know you guys may be joining us. Maybe you guys will be able to get a site beside us.

We are still planning on being there on Friday, 21.  We've got reservations. Larry drove over to check it out and says we are booked into site 62.  Can't wait to get there!  Boomer, hope ya'll come too!

Looks like we will get to be the reviewers for this weekend.  Since the DGD's are going to their Aunties for 3 weeks, we wanted to take them camping one more time before they go.  They seemed to like the idea of Jellystone in Bremen. (Go figure)  We are booked on site 72 which is one of the 8 (blue on the map) sites were they put PUP's.  If any of you are in the area stop on by.

Miles, I would never look down my nose at anyone.  As long as you render a sharp salute to my Canvas Campers flag we will get along fine.    ;D :D
