We are site 113.

I think 110 was the one where you needed a ladder to reach your outside kitchen

Glad to hear you moved to a better site!

I've used the shooting range, it can be pretty busy sometimes, or there can be idiots up there.  There's no range master to control things so usually the most experienced person does it. For me it's not worth the crapshoot of driving 50 minutes to find out it's really crowded.   If you already have a range or hunting permit and are near by it's worth a drive up there (and if you do lmk I'll be your one guest!).

Ringing rocks is closed for the season, but the owner is checking messages and calling people back for reservations.  This should be an excellent trip!

Pop-Up Campers / Re: Winterize

How expensive is your camper? How handy are you?  :P

I camped a month or so ago and waited until after to winterize.  The low was 17degrees and the high was around 45.  I disconnected the water overnight and opened the faucets to release the pressure.  The inside of my camper was about 68-70 overnight.  The water lines froze every night but eventually I got running water back by 3 pm each day.  When I went to dump on Sunday my grey valve opened fine but the inside was frozen. Luckily it had a little trickle of water coming out and eventually melted the big chunk and it dumped ok.

It's barely going under freezing, so I'd guess you'd be ok.  I've had a camper with plumbing for 3 whole months now so take my advice as you want  ;D

Sorry for the delay in posting the invitation to our annual RV show gathering at our house.  I will be making the reservation at Ringer's Roost for 5:00PM.

My dear SaintPaula, if you don't make the invite, we'll invite ourselves.  If you don't want anyone to come I suggest you lock up the place really well, because we'll let ourselves in, and you know we'll be creative trying to gain entry.

But really, thank you so much for hosting, its such a nice time going back to your house and spending time with the group.

I'm definitely going, dear BF won't know if he has to work until that week.

I booked site 111! Can't wait!

wow, small world, I just had a 7 pin and brake controller installed in my 2013 Highlander!  I was very lucky to have a friend willing to help, but if I didn't I would have taken it to a local trailer maintenance place recommended by another good friend.  You're right about car places "learning at $100/hour".  My car threw some warning lights a few weeks after I had it installed.  I brought it in and they charged me $111 to tell me the trailer brake wire was rubbing against the steering wheel and that's what made the code come up.  We looked and the wires were like new.  They just guessed what might have caused the problem.

As for if it's required or not, just look at any video of a vehicle crash started by sway, and you'll feel comfortable spending the money on a brake controller/brakes! I feel better knowing my car isn't doing all the work to stop, especially if I had to stop suddenly.

Welcome to Canvas Campers!

I'll be making green bean casserole

Check-in is at 1 and the firewood is coming at 3. Can't wait to see everyone!

Against my better judgement, we will be bringing the theater system and popcorn maker for a movie Friday evening.  I'm not sure what time we will start because I can't find quiet time on their website.

Wait your wife doesn't want you to bring the stuff?

Both of my kids and an extra are coming so weíll be 2 adults and 2 teens and 1 almost teen.  I canít imagine Thanksgiving without apple pie so Iíll be bringing homemade butter toffee apple pie and whipped cream.

Omg yum! You might need to make two!!

Yum, everything sounds so tasty!

We will be doing chafing dishes for the potluck food so everything stays warm and is easy to serve.  Full or half pans with lids will be provided.

We need 6 each, 6-8 foot tables to serve the food for our potluck dinner.  If you have an extra table that you can offer, please let us know?

And EZ-up canopies in case of incliment weather?
