Basic Camper Leveling and Setup

Let me go over the Basic Steps to setting up a pop-up or hybrid camper.  (most applies to TT also)

1. First, back into the site keeping in mind the large rocks and trees around you.  :banghead: Also pay attention to the distance from the site utilities to make sure they will reach.

2. Level your camper from side to side by blocking up one lower side tires with woods, blocks or use a bal leveler.

3. Chock the wheels on both sides, front and back

4 Unhook the camper from your tow vehicle and move it. (Make sure your wheels are chocked or your camper might roll in a ditch.  This will put a damper on your trip)

5. Next, level the camper from front to back using the tongue jack.

NOW THE CAMPER SHOULD BE LEVEL BOTH SIDE 2 SIDE and FRONT 2 BACK!

6. There are different opinions for the comes next, I raise the camper roof.
(keep your awning in mind, if you have one.  you might not be able to reach it with the roof raised)

7. Lower the stabilizers, (they are not designed to be used for leveling, just stabilizing)

8. Slide out the bunk ends and install the support bars...

9. Set up all the junk you bring and hook up your utilities.

Hooking up utilities should be a separate thread.
Please help me with anything I might have missed?

Before you get the camper roof too far up, you will may want to position pop up gizmos, an attach the top edge to the camper.  I am installing velcro for mine.  Have discovered terrain hampers my lack of height for getting them on well.

Sis: Axle flip won't help with that this year, either.  :D
