Just called campground to reserve (their vm said  office open til 7pm) since I called & left message before 7 I hope they will hold the site/rate - we are trying for site 502, or 508 -I will post when we hear back from them (Monday I am guessing?) Hopefully they didn't have flooding issues...

Just Chillin---- now that you mention it there is a creek behind the one line of sites and a pond just above the other sites.  I'm sure they will clean it up before we get there in October.

This was an AWESOME rally last year.

BrownsCamper.....This is an awesome trip and well worth the advance booking.  Last year was our first Halloween Rally and it was a blast.  The campsites decorate and there is trick-or-treating.  We had a 4 ring campfire last year.....I don't know whose idea that was

Vik-King....Glad you and the kids will be there.  If there is any trip out there that the kids will have a blast, THIS is it.

WOW! you guys did have a good time, I saw the pics from last year.

I'm bummed. My son's college just posted homecoming/parents's day & it's this same weekend.  🙁 Spring Gulch is so close to home & we even had a costume picked out for Floyd!

You can send Floyd with us anyway since he can't go to homecoming.

This is what I found on the website.  I'm sure if you call them up and explain what you would like to do you could work something out.

On Site Storage
Free on-site storage when consecutive Spring and Fall camping weekends have been scheduled. Applies only before Fathers Day weekend and after Labor Day.

I know the planners extraordinaire (Phil & Pete) are planning a big costume blow out. Can we get a heads up in case we have something already in the same theme?

Last year everyone decorated their campsites.  Phil & Pete came in second place overall in the campground.  This year, we have booked a site for one big display.  We didn't get dressed up last year but I'm interested if others are?

It looks like Phil and Pete may not make this one due to truck issues.  I wish they could make it and head up the planning  :'( ......Looks like we will have to plan this one without them.

I have a theme idea that I think will work with the decorations that many of us already had.

                                        [glow=red,2,300] Canvas Campers Coffin Company[/glow]

Many of us had grave stones, skeletons (aka Bones), coffins, other items.  We could easily build a coffin or other container to put the candy in.  We could either have someone lay in to scare the kids or just put a body in to creep them out or have someone reach up through the candy

I plan on stopping at the local fence company and see if I can get some rickety old picket fence that we could use to surround the area and or use some old scrap wood to make an "entrance"

What are your ideas?  Are we going to run with the Canvas Campers Coffin Company as a group thing?  Other ideas?

If we use pallets for fencing we can have a really nice fire Saturday night.

I had a gut feeling I should take a ride to the fence place tonight.  SCORE!!!!

I just picked up 7 of these sections of white picket fence.  They are about 8 feet long and 4 feet tall.  They are still sturdy as well.....bonus

Next stop will be my pallet place.  Those slats can be made into old looking coffins.
