Oh, no, bummer! 🙁  But it doesn't look like it kept you from towing! Hope the damage is covered and looks brand new when you get it fixed.

Booked site 108, 2A 1K9, was already thinking about an extension cord....also just purchased generator as a backup plan!

Here  are my notes from our trip there in 2012:

966 Marina Rd, Patton, PA 16668 is the park office.  If you use GPS it will send you on some VERY small roads.  I strongly recommend staying on the main roads, although where you turn onto state park road (also called Marina Road), there is a railroad crossing that may cause bumper on long vehicles to drag if you cross it straight on.  Our route was PA Turnpike West to Bedford Exit # 146.  Route 99 North to Exit 31 for Altoona. Route 36 to Route 53, then left on Marina Rd and Right on Beaver Valley Road.  Signs are good as you get closer to Ashville PA and the Park.  Total drive time from Harrisburg PA was 3 hours. 

Firewood is delivered to your site during reg summer hours. Cart full $25, 1/2 cart $12.50, sm bundle $5.  And all wood is nice and dry.

Nearest grocery is a Sure fine in Patton PA 3miles. 

Campstore has a basic selection,for twice the price,although a 7lb bag of ice is $1.50.
Boat rentals are avail: Pontoons 20' $146/day, 25' $210/day
                                Motorboats (aluminum) $135/day
Boat launches are accessible in several places through out park and 1 place in CG.

Wifi service is free for 1st 15 min, then can be purchased thru Cambria Connect by the day,week,month.  There are 3 antennas in the CG, so coverage is fairly good throughout the CG.  Although the host said smaller technology does not seem to receive it as well (iphones, tablets). 

Cell service: AT&T has a tower in Patton and we had great service with our ATT phones.  Most other carriers have less service, unless you stand still at top of Headache Hill. 

Land slope:  The high point is the 220-226 area of Hickory loop.  The land then slopes away toward the lake.  Most site pads are relatively level. 

Camp sites: There are pet sites on one end of CG, and non pet areas on the other end of CG.  This is marked on CG map.  There are quite a lot of nonelectric sites, and they are some of the larger sites: esp on Cherry loop.  If you Kayak or canoe, you can park it by waters edge-in sight of your site-and chain to tree-just be sure chain is covered with rubber.  Be sure when parking that you back your TV into the site and stay on black top, this rule is enforced.

Lakeview sites: 24-31, 66-77, 334-352,398-390.

Main road sites are most level and most are quite long.  However, this is a busy road with walking and cars.  The road is 2 cars wide, plus a walking trail.  And paved.  All roads are paved.  Most site pads are paved. Most sites are part to full shade.  My fav sites: 23, 24, 25,27,29, 116, 122,180, 182, 198, 228, 303. 305, 352, 371, 410, 430, 435.

For the kids: Swimming, sand box on Birch, New playground being installed on Beach area, Humps and Bumps Bike trail beside host on site 363.  Host patrols bike area, helmets are required for all users.This is a dirt track.  Our son, 11yr old, spent all weekend on it.  It has sone bumps higher than others. Little tykes with training wheels or smaller NOT recommended. It is too rough and the older more able riders go pretty fast.

In the fall and spring- the non regular season-the park has limited restrooms, Restrooms are only open on Pine and  Red Oak and the sites around them will be listed on the internet as avail to reserve.  The rest of the park IS OPEN, just on a 1st come, 1st serve basis and will not have a  bathhouse open on your loop. 

Local Attractions: Flight 93 Memorial 1 hr away, Wineries and orchards, Fort Bedford, Lots and Lots of Covered bridges, Gravity Hill, Horseshoe Curve, Seldom Seen coal mine tour, ATV off road course.  Friends of SP have activities through out summer and fall.

Bath Houses: Huge, newer, good water pressure, located in center of each loop with multiple paths to get to it.
