RnR will be bringing Mary Todd Lincoln Cake, supposedly was Abe's favorite.

If you need ideas for a Civil War era food, here are some links to start with:

I'm planning going on a chicken dish. Either balsamic chicken or Apple curry chicken. Going to have mom make carrot cake for dessert 😆

Hey Mtn_Bikers, are you a def on a chicken dish?  And hope your mom is still making a carrot cake -- YUM!!

Hi there!  I'm one of Charlie's parents but Charlie is now Sam.  We are planning to attend the pot lock and wine/beer thing.  We're pretty excited!  I'll bring something southern I think.  Do I need to do an official sign-up of some sort?  This is our first time and we have no idea what we're doing!  We will need guides!  😉

Hey Guys and Gals, welcome. For the Potluck we ask if possible you to list in this rally thread what you think you will make. Reason is other will see it to make sure we don't have 5 desserts and no proteins, etc. Plus we have always have some picky eaters (kids) and some with Peanut allergies.

If you go back to the first message in this thread, the rally coordinators will update the checklist with what others are bringing, so you can see without having to read back through every message again.

Welcome to CanvasCampers, see you this Weekend

Phil and Pete

Joe & I are making pulled chicken w/rolls and coleslaw.  Mom is bringing carrot cake cupcakes. Our friends Linda & Bill are bringing a dish she calls "More", which is a macaroni/cheese/beef dish.

Ahhhh!!!  Yes, the list is helpful!  Looks like we need some sides. I'll bring a layered pea salad (hello 1970s) and either a green salad or another green veggie plus a dessert.

Reminder the theme for the potluck is the North vs the South.

We will be bringing back the Beer, Wine and a little Moon Shine event at this rally.  On Saturday evening at 8pm, after the normal 6pm potluck dinner, we will be having an adult beverage tasting around the campfire.  If you are interested in joining please bring some of your favorite, funny or local beverages to share.  We will provide sampling cups, ice trays, cork screws, etc.

Peter and I will be bringing a set of rich red Wines for tasting - and real wine glasses to sample them in (no solo cups!).

Since others are bringing Beans, we will just make a really big Yankee Pot Roast.

Oh, I forgot about the North vs South theme...so the pea salad idea is out. Back to the drawing board.

We have wasps in our fridge vent. Does anyone know how to get rid of them?  Will have 13 week old tiny puppy with us so concerned about chemicals.

Get nest out and put a piece of screen inside vent door so they don't get back in.

Potluck is always Saturday at 6pm.  The only time it changes is 5pm at the November rally because it's dark by 6pm

See you soon!
