Has anyone ever tried the foil or paper liners?  They look as easy as the crockpot liner.

Yes, I have used the paper ones and they work great!  I use them for foods that are heavy in sugar to reduce burning and sticking to the sides.  Cleanup is a snap.

Sorry, I don't use either one. I do however use aluminum foil in my dutch ovens.

I have not seen the foil liners before....  neat.

wonder if there is a significant heat loss transfer between the CI and the liner though?

If I ever manage to find a Dutch oven I like for a good price, that seems like it would make cleanup much easier.

where did you find the aluminum DO liners? I use paper liners and aluminum foil, but rarely use anything.

I use aluminium foil in my dutch oven.  Based on cost analysis, i get a lot more out of a roll of foil than i would out of a box of liners.  Thats why i choose foil.  I have seen no heat lose with it.  some of the GA gang can tell you to food did not suffer at all with using the foil.

One of these day's I'll have to get a Dutch Oven.  Then I can join the debate over liners.

Never tried the liners. The DO is usually easy enough to clean out with just hot water.
