Hi Friends, not really camping related, but I figured the mods thread was probably most appropriate. I want to modify my utility trailer to be enclosed. I have to keep the weight as light as possible because I don't have much towing capacity and I'll litterally be hauling rocks (for my crystal business). I'm leaning towards metal studs for framing, with a thin layer of lauan for the walls (unless anyone has better sugestions). I wondered if anyone here would have recommendations on what material(s) to use over the siding and roof to make it water tight. Recommendations on where to buy would also be appreciated.

This is our trailer https://www.lowes.com/pd/Carry.....te/3699516

I did find this company that makes kits, but the response I got was essentially that they didn't think it would work with our trailer https://www.cover-tech.com/tra.....enclosures. The only other company I've found that does similar buids is in Minnesota and doesn't deliver.

I'm new to the forum so I apologize if this has been asked already. We want to replace our canvas on our 1981 StarCraft Venture, but my husband is nervous about taking the old one off in case the tracks are bad or don't work with the new canvas. Has anyone done this and how did the process work for you?

Thanks,

Having a 30ft travel trailer, changing lanes on the highway has always been challenging. Good mirrors can't really rell you how far you are away from that car on the other lane and the idiot that is completely behind you and can't be seen by either mirror.

This week I installed a Halowview MC7108 wireless camera. Took less than 30 minutes to install, tapped the power from the center marker light.

Amazing display, and at 60 miles an hour, the picture is full real time. Helps in backup the camper into the site also.

Best part - $249.00 - bye bye Furrion that I have installed before.

As silly as it sounds, the wife and I are planning on getting a full size cassette toilet and a privacy tent. The plan is to get a screen porch or whatever you call the room that you can put in front of the tt and set the privacy tent at the front unused part of the trailer. This way if we end up pooping its not close to the kitchen and it doesn't smell up the trailer.
