Just packed the SodaStream and a couple flavorings to take on our weekend trip. I need some "canned" soda for a dump cake as well as soft drinks, and this serves the purpose very well. Even for fizzy water, it's great.

Anyone else use a SodaStream camping?

What is soda stream?
It's safe to assume we don't use it. Lol

Is it a way to make soda?  Carbonate the water, add syrup, (maybe out of order),......?
I guess I will google it now.

Interesting.
My parents had a soda maker many years ago.
The taste was close to bought soda, but there was an obvious difference.

I have one of the original soda streams from when they sold them at kiosks in the mall many years ago.  It's great.  The soda doesn't taste like brand name, more like dollar store cola, but the price just can't be beat!  I like to keep a variety pack of syrups around, it's great for family gatherings when everyone wants a different flavor. It's also nice because the diet sodas don't use aspartame (I'm allergic to it).

I've heard many people take it camping.  I'll bet it's great for kids, way less stuff to bring.

I've only had the SodaStream since last December, but it is great for me - a diabetic - where I can use the regular flavors without much sugar but good taste. Of course, there are the diet flavors made with Splenda. Not totally genuine for the Cola products (Coke/Coke Zero), but I also like the fruit flavors such as Cranberry/Pomegranite and Diet Pink Grapefruit. My SIL likes the bubbly water, and the grandkids (who are old enough) like the Root Beer. Very versatile and nice for camping by eliminating cans and bottles.
