Everyone has to have a favorite campground, one that they think is the best campground ever. What's yours?
Our favorite camping experience was this summer at Bay Shore Campground. It has great sites, people and overall experience.

I dont think I can label a BEST campground because each one has had its purpose or reason for being there.
I have a high tolerance for insignificant mishaps, and a forgiveness for those around us that feel the need to ruin other campers experiences.
IF I had a favorite, I would never make it out of my back yard...lol
because lets face it.. it is CHEAPER, has EVERY AMENITY, and I dont have to worry about OTR accidents or troubles...lol
The only thing missing is the LAKE or RIVER to swim and fish in... and that is 5 miles down the road...
I have had less than stellar MOMENTS, but those pass quickly for the most part.
I have some campgrounds that provide more memories than others, that's for sure. In NC, Medoc Mountain State Park was my go-to campground. It was less than 15 miles from the house and a million miles away, if you get my drift.
I could take off on a Friday afternoon, set up, get lazy, read a book/magazine, etc., have a fire going all before the (then) wife was off work and there.

It was seldom full, not on a lot of people's "Gotta Go There" lists and was a wonderful place to be. I even found what would become to me my favorite tent site as a walk in on a Fourth of July three day weekend.
I've got other places throughout the US and aboard that bring back wonderful, and some not so wonderful, memories.
Mine would be Spring Gulch in New Holland Pa.
