My niece & her family did this last summer at Gifford Pinchot. She had been an active camper in scouting, but her family had never been & were kind of doubtful about the whole idea. They loved their first wknd so much, last Christmas & birthday, family members gave them PA State Park gift cards, as well as a tent & some camping gear. This year, they have ventured out on their own trips. What a great way to get someone started in camping 🙂
