We have a sort of "family" thing we need to make a trip to Amite LA this weekend. After looking at motels cost and availability (only 17 miles to the LSU campus and they play at home this weekend), and doing the math on the campsite, gas and groceries VS motel and eating out, we've decided we're taking the TT.

Looks like a nice campground, we have reservations for saturday and sunday night. We're kicking around the idea of leaving late friday, turtling somewhere for a few hours about half way, and then finishing the trip saturday morning. The drive monday will have to be a straight drive through.

Y'all know us, we'll take plenty of pics and I'll do a review when we get back!

this is a private campground, will be a first for us. If there'd been a national park campground less than 150 miles away, I'd have stayed there instead. We are expecting to have a good time though. Thanks!

Papa, see if Ga Judy will let you take pokey for a trip. He is all cooped up in the house! No thanks to Gumby!

If you happen to be passing through Dothan, let me know.... at the very least I would be able to offer you a temp spot for the night here.

Thanks, 01. We'll keep that in mind but I doubt we will be any time soon. DH decided he wants to go north to Decatur, AL, and another trip to Houston to visit friends and family and get all that in with a rally in between! No campers on anything but the rally.  🙁

no problem, it is not much , but it is free....  same goes to anyone traveling through my area.

I am 20 minutes north of I-10, off hwy 231. or 15 minutes south of Dothan center.

most people traveling from GA ( north of ATL) will take 85 anyway
