Hi,

We're new pop-ups owners and are trying out campgrounds close to home.  This coming weekend, we'll be at Oak Creek Campground in Lancaster County, PA.  If anyone else is up for checking it out, or has any experience of the place that they can share, I'd love to hear from you  🙂

I camped there about 6 or 7 years ago.  Nice place, I remember it being well kept and having a lot of seasonal and permanent sites, not that thats a bad thing.

Heres a link to the RV Park Reviews page for Oak Creek

Thanks for the link, Dave!

So, I really liked this place.  It's big, but really nicely wooded and spread out, so it doesn't seem big.  We had a site right on the creek and the girls had a blast catching crayfish, fish and salamanders all weekend.  We fished in the little pond they had, but only caught a few tiny pumpkinseeds.  They had a pool, but we didn't go in it.  They have one nice hiking trail that led to a nice boulder field in the shade.  We had a blast hopping on the boulders.  I'll definitely go back!

WHat site did you stay on?  Did you scope out any other sites that would be winners for the future?

Glad you had a good time.  Any pictures?

I stayed in 106, and it was great.  105 and 107 were significantly smaller, but all of the others on the "creek" row were good.  I also like the D sites, which are up at the top of a big hill.  There is a decent playground near those sites, and it was nice and quiet up there.  The creek sites do not have sewer, so if you need sewer the D sites will be better.

I did take a picture...but it's on my phone and I'll have to get it onto my computer so I can upload to this site.

I've had no luck posting photos from my Google/Picasa albums. I've uploaded my pics to my Webshots account and posted from there with no problems.

Photobucket and Flickr seem to be good choices, too.

Woo hoo - thanks!!  Next time I'll try something other than Google/Picasa.
