depends how far away I am and what I need to do at home. Typically I am leaving around 11 or 12 but I have also left right after breakfast and cleaned the breakfast pots at home.

I leave as late as possible, often with someone waiting for my site. ::)
Yup.. Joe takes "taking your good sweet time" to a whole new level. ;D
For us, it's more a factor of whether we have something else going on that day and how long it takes to get home. I very much prefer to park the camper when I have daylight, since I'm backing it diagonally with it winding up about two feet from the house and don't want either to get damaged, obviously. That said, we usually leave between noon and 3pm.
Here's the new spot we made for it while we were doing the addition (including a shot of the new TT).
I really should be nice and put up some greenery between the houses (right about where the left edge of the photo is) so my neighbors don't have to look at it every time they come or go from their house.
Before we had the addition put on our house and moved the driveway, I had to back it down a 100' of driveway and through a 8.5" wide gate on the other side of the house. That wasn't so bad with the popup (17' long, 7.5' wide), but was a little more nerve-wracking with a 25' long, 8' wide HTT. To my credit, I probably did that something like 20 times with the popup and 10-12 times with the HTT. There were some close calls, but not even a single scrape.
Ah a new year and lots of places to explore. To answer the question though, since we normally hit a spot within 3 hrs of the house we pack up after breakfast; okay I pack up after breakfast while everyone else finds something to occupy themselves with and then I check us out. Since we're normally at a state park I then drive down into one of the normal parking spots unless my spot isn't reserved for that day and we head home sometime late afternoon. Just enough time to get us home before dark.
Doc
For us, it depends on the distance from home what time we leave the CG. Usually we get up and have breakfast, sometimes stay for lunch, and then get home before dark if possible since we store our camper offsite. I guess the average departure is around 1:00 latest, but usually plenty of time before the "official" checkout time. We've never stayed in private CGs, only SPs and COEs, so no one has been waiting for our spot to change hands as far as I know.
We're not frantic packers-and-leavers, but we tend to leave well before the stated check-out time.
(I hate, loathe, despise, and detest people who milk every minute and end up leaving after check-out, while leaving the site a mess.)
We like to be considerate of those coming in to camp. Besides, we like to get home and tend to the business of cleaning the pup, prepping it for the next trip, and doing the laundry.
It depends on how long my drive is.
If we are camping within an hour or so, we don't rush at all. Usually end up leaving around noon or so.
But if we have a longer drive, we leave before 9, usually. I want to miss traffic, get the camper home and cleaned out. That way there's still time to relax.
My wife usually starts packing up a lot of our stuff the night before. She does not do any of the driving and I think that she looks at it as her part in getting us out at a decent time.
And yes, I pack as well, but I don't do much packing the night before.
