I had the Harbor Freight version last year...900watt.  It was able to run my sump pump which is what I needed it for.  I don't remember but I think I was able to run my fridge as well.  Just not at the same time.  I left it with the house when I sold it.  I wasn't going to leave my 3,000 watt generator.

I have a friend with the IN1800i and it is about 65 db at 20 feet away. he usually puts a 4 foot plywood dampening box around it and you can tell it is there, but barely.

FYI: these are $250-450 elsewhere

Here is a video I did of my 900 watt Harbor Freight Generator and my 3,000 watt Coleman Generator.  They were both just as loud I thought..... but they got the job done.  I know that isn't the Genny in the original post but they are comparable as far as noise level.  At the end you will see a clip inside and hear them outside.

Following Sandy my former neighbor used the little HF genny to run his fridge, charge cell phone and laptop and keep a light on in the house. I had my 5000W brute ready to rumble and our neighborhood including his old house never lost power for more than a minute. Figures.

He's very happy to have bought that little Tennyson. I borrowed it for a camping trip and was impressed enough that I will probably get one.
