Crazy story, but just sold my 1987 Coleman Columbia completely by accident! Went camping this weekend in Virginia, and took some pics, put it on craigslist. 1st guy that emailed me bought it. problem is going camping again in 3 weeks and wife wants to kill me! We needed a little bit bigger one, so I tested the waters, and away it went! Any leads out there for a pop up 1993 or newer would be great!

Same place where you sold yours.....Craigslist.  Check the surrounding areas that are listed as well.  You may have to travela  bit to find one.  Also, check out the dealers and call them up.  They get trade ins all the time.  I bought my last pup from a dealer for $1,500 and it was ready to camp.....just older and they didn't want to deal with it.

Thanks Matt, I am all over craigslist. Hoping to find something in decent shape under 2K. Been checking dealers too.

You could also rent a popup so you don't have to rush into buying a camper.  They probably go down in price as fall arrives.

Yes, craigslist, search tempest. Good ones seem to go before I can even email them! Was supposed to go tonight to see one, but he just sold it 10 minutes ago!

Have the cash on hand and be ready to go. First come first serve and cash talks is the golden rule.  I get my firewood (2 cords for 2014 and 1 cord for 2015 so far) from craigslist. I check every afternoon. I am lucky and can leave work at 4. People look at me funny when I show up in office clothes. The say why don't you go home and change? My response is always how many people have already called and stopped by? Usually 2-3 people have already been there if it goes up after lunch. If it goes up at 3pm is the sweet time for me to get first dibs at the wood. Buying a hot item like a popup in the summer can go just as quick.

UPDATE: The guy buying it backed out. So I am out of the dog house for now. Going to knoebels August 16th, 17th & 18th if anyone wants to stop by and say hello! The old girl most likely will be up for sale come October/November.
