Any suggestions as to trouble shooting and repairing a "short" to my front bunk-end receptacle. I have a 2011 Jayco X19H and last season the bunk-end light would go on and off by themselves. obviously when they were plugged in and the switch on. There is a spot on where it seems if you're standing in the right spot and give a little shake it will sometimes com on. It also is affected by the rear outlet.
I really don't know but since it affects the rear outlet and if you shake it happens I would trace the wires throughout the camper to see if anything looks bad. Other than that I'm sorry I don't have more to offer.

What you are describing sounds like a loose or partially broken connection is arcing over and making contact with a load on it, or partially shorting. I would start right at the power panel and check all of the terminals and wires to see if something is loose. People sometimes use those blade crimps and they will eventually go bad. From there I would pull the cover on the first outlet and check behind it. I am assuming that this is 12 volt, to it probably splits near the back of the power panel and goes to both outlets. Also check the wiring where it comes down beside the roof support. Those bend and flex each time you raise the roof.
It would be easier if you can round up a wiring diagram. Good luck.
