I've got a Coleman and wondered how many watts it uses?I bought a 3500 watt generator and wanted to only run the air conditioner,TV and DVD player at once.On my generator box there is a chart that says 10,000 BTU would use a 1000 watts,27 inch TV 500 watts and DVD player 100 watts! That is a total of 1600 watts I would be using on a generator that puts out 3500 watts!

My RV has a 4,000 watt genny and I am supposed to be able to run the AC and other stuff off of it.....but the genny doesn't work so I haven't been able to prove it.  I think AC's have a big power draw when the first kick on.

My a.c. uses 22 amp start up and 16 amp constant while running.  I have used generator that size with it before with n no problems
