Hoping for the day when I find that perfect PUP I've started to fill an area of my garage with item I want/need to put into it.  Ex. Solar yard lights; 50' HD electrical cord (given to me); Yard Sign created by our wood shop "Scuba Camper" for display at our campsites, etc.

Just wondering if this was weird of others of you did  it before you bought yours.
Thanks,

Doc

🙂 My first reaction on reading the subject was: YES!!  ;D

Then I read the text and felt some sympathy/understanding. You want it so bad you can taste it! I reseached and searched a lot before we got our first PUP. DH was not that interested until I showed him the Craigslist posting and photo -- and PRICE. He was interested enough to relent to looking at it within the next day or two. We drove to the far northeastern part of GA from the far NW part and looked it over and left a deposit. Since I was the one who really wanted a PUP, I could not shop ahead of time for accessories. So, the first item we had to buy was a hitch so we could go back to get the PUP!  That was our first purchase of accessories and it hasn't stopped even though we don't have the original PUP but grew into something else.

Have fun planning and looking. You will be happy when "your" camper shows up. You'll be ready with your pre-planning and shopping.

Yes, you are.

(Of course, it means that many of us are, too! You are not alone....)

Glad to know I'm not alone in the forest campground.

I think of it as grown ups playing pretend only not as obvious as kids.  I find myself in the garage or camper with a camping item and will move it but as I do so I imagine I'm cooking something on the stove or how I'll hang the  rope lights, where will the outdoor carpet go.

Yes you are weird, but not alone.

I don't think it is strange at all. I picked up my new hybrid two weeks ago and everyday at least once I go inside and just sit for a awhile looking around checking it out. in two weeks I think I have spent more time inside this one in daylight then the pop up I had for four years. by the way it was fully packed with all my supplies 35 minutes after we parked it, could not wait to see if everything fit where I wanted it to go.

Good luck and hope you find the perfect one soon.

My D/H will pick up some random item and call it good for camping.. I am not allowing him to purchase anything for Milly.. 88 Williamsburg until she is road ready and packed with all the items taken from the Royale.

When the many do something and the minority don't, so long as the abnormal are in the majority that is considered the norm...That's as close as I can get to quoting Freud. Humans are a gregarious group and it is nice to know I'm not alone.
Thanks all,

Doc
