I am always trying to make setup a little easier and had done this mod to my old camper many years ago.  My Gizmos have velcro on one end so attaching them under the roof ends makes them already half installed when you raise the roof.

I purchased industrial velcro from Home Depot.

I add a little extra glue to the first and last 12"s.

Attach the velcro up under the roof ends.

You can now attach your Gizmos.  They help with keeping the camper warmer in the cooler weather, reflexes the heat in the summer and protects your canvas from sap, bird droppings or other stuff.

I would recommend removing and installing them with the velcro every trip, just tuck them in with the canvas.

I have mine attached by velcro as well. Defiantly makes set up easier.

Do you leave the gizmos velcroed to the PUP top when you close up, or do you take them off?

I am looking at purchasing a set of these for my new PUP.  The high wind versions were suggested to me.  So, you have to screw into the bottom of the bunkends?  Won't this void the warranty (I think I get a lifetime warranty )?

I leave them attached to the roof velcro and just tuck them in.

You don't need to screw into the bottom of your bunk end, just attach the high wind cords to the bunk support bars or an existing hook where your bungee cord hooks.  Let me see if I have a photo or someone else will?

Also, Popup Gizmo has tested and they have the same efficiency with the foil up or the colored side. (Mine are green)  The foil side up will normally last longer.  My last set went about 4-5 years but I also camp 12-15 times per year.

Yeah, I think I'm sold.  Although, this will be the first "toy" I boutgh for the PUP!  ;D  (I have most of the trailer necessities left over from the TT).
