Yea.  The sand gets EVERYWHERE!  Also when you get home give a good wash down the trailer and the frame to wash the salt off.

we're going camping this next week in Santa Barbara and we'll be right on the beach. in fact, our back bunk will out over the sand.
we use a plastic woven awning mat that lets the sand fall through and is very lightweight and easy to clean.
if you have an outside shower, they are very handy for cleaning sandy feet.

We camp at the beach (Fort Desoto, Florida)  and lots of beach sand. 

We do several things.
1.  RV Mat (got it at walmart 9 x 12) it was $29

2. Have a piece of out door carpet by the step. (3 x 5) 

3. Bucket of water

We put down the big mat.  Put the smaller one by the door and step. Slide off shoes and step in bucket of water then on to the out door carpet.  And your feet are clean when you go inside.  I just cant go to sleep at night when my feet are dirty so this works well for us.

Keep a broom on the porch for quick sweeps.
