We still have yet to use them in truly cold weather, but they definitely help keeping the heat out in the summer as well as with keeping crap off the bunk ends. I'm looking forward to trying them out in cold weather this fall.
We went to the Hickory Run rally in April, and I *wish* I had gotten them in time for that. It was the weather trifecta: rainy, cold and windy. Add to that the fact we *really* underestimated how cold it would be (jackets were too light and no sweatshirts for layering), and it was a cold weekend for us. I think we pretty much just hibernated the entire time and got out and did a little bit of hiking on Sunday before leaving.
They don't sell them for Quicksilver tents anymore. I'm thinking of making some inside roof panels out of the foil/bubble stuff for use in colder times. I'm not sure about using them in the summer though as the heat could damage the material the tent is made out of as they would be under the tent. Or I'll just get a bunch of the reinforced space blankets and make/sew my own covers - but I hate the way they look 🙁 .
