Love that triple decker DO set up. What a fun event. I hope some of our Georgia/Alabama folks can get together for a DOG of our own some day. Camp Dad, Fire Captain Jim, Jarhead71, and mowenby have been testing out their recipes on the Southeast Rally folks and we all enjoy their fares.

It's official. The first ever East Coast DOG & Cook Off in Bird-in-Hand, PA is a go on Oct 17-19,2014. We're planning for several activities and it will be a great weekend of good friends, good food, and good fun. Did I mention hot air balloon rides (were working on that). We have a couple of our planning team members working on the East Coast DOG website. I'll post here again as soon as it's ready. You'll be able to register online or download a snail-mail form.

It seems like a long way off but we've learned that campsites are going fast for the East Coast Dutch Oven Gathering & Cook Off. We are in communication with Country Acres Campground. If you are planning on joining us and want to camp you need to make reservations quick. We've been advised that October is their busiest month. Here are two numbers to call for reservations:
(717) 687-8014
(866) 675-4745
Or, you can make reservations through their website: http://www.bird-in-hand.com/places-to-s ... ampground/
Rates as we know them now: Pop-up/Tent with electric/water: $38.00
Travel Trailer (Back-in) with electric/water: $42.50

We are also gathering information on additional campgrounds in the area as well as hotel/motel accomodations. I'll update you as we consolidate the info.

So, mark your calendars. This will be a fun weekend.

Like Judy said, it's a bit of a stretch for us GA folks, but it sounds like fun.  Sure would like to attend one some-time-er-other.
