My favorite camping gadget is whatever one I just bought.
Previously it was a Collapsible garbage can that I got last year. Currently it is solar powered rope lights I got from Harbor Freight for $10.

Thermacell Mosquito repellant system is great! This gadget uses a butane heater, and a scented fragrance pad to repel biting insects. We really like it because there is nothing applied to the skin, thus nothing absorbed into the body. I hate the oily feeling of bug lotions and spray, and the side effects of bug lotions the next morning, if you don't wash it off before bed, you may as well have drunk a whole botle of wine by yourself. THey make a portable version with holster that can be worn on the belt, or a pretty table top lantern. These are for use out side only. Do not use them inside the camper.
I picked up a "Hitchin' Post" for my lawn tractor so I could move my trailers around.

I had been thinking of how to get a trailer ball on my tractor. I have a receiver hitch but that would need some serious modification. I found this and thought it was the best. I was sooooo excited. I just put trailer tongue down on it and it bent the lawn tractor tongue thingy. I pulled forward a few feet to get the pup out of the garage and that tractor tongue just bounced it was so flimsy. I hooked it up to my utility trailer 'cause that was what I really wanted it for. Moving stuff around the yard and not needing to drive the pickup back there. It was alright with the utility trailer but not the best. I think it would need to be reinforced somehow.
oh well, they said all over the package not to exceed the equipments towing recommendations. I bet my tractor has a 20# tongue weight limit.

This is NOT my favorite gadget now. But after yesterdays post I figured I had to post this.

My last tractor was identical to that, Matt. It would handle our old PUP, a 1989 Coleman, but just barely. That was probably lighter than yours. Worked well with the utility trailer!
I use the tractor only for plowing and got rid of the Craftsman for a small diesel w/three point hitch. That works great for moving trailers, although I haven't been brave enough to try moving the Niagara with it! ;D

At the moment my favorite accessory is my pink entrenchment tool. I got it from a Marine I work with. When he gave it to me he said I would have to spray paint it because it was beginning to rust. I mentioned that to a friend, who said the marine would die if I painted it pink. Well of course It's pink now! I used high heat engine paint so I can use this e-tool in the fire.
It was pure coincidence that it perfectly matched my sleeping bag, which is my second favorite camping thing, a gift from my brother's old girlfriend.
