I think our favorite at the moment is our Camp Chef Expedition 2x we recently acquired. It came with a cast iron griddle, too. I also got the hose to hook it up to the camper's quick-disconnect low-pressure LP line, so no lugging around separate LP bottles or super long hoses from the bottles in the front of the camper just to use with the grill, either.
Lone Lock: After a similar experience to yours, my dad and I bolted on a piece of 3/8" steel to my his tractor years ago. It was about 3" wide, 12" tall, and bent into an L, and drilled for the hitch ball, and then bolted to the back frame of the tractor. We never had a problem with it bending after that. It was mostly used to move the utility trailer and 18' motor boat from the driveway to the back of the yard.
My new high wind PUGs just came in the mail today. Hope they fit, they were bought from another camper.

I'm hoping to pickup a BAL leveler from someone on the way to Camp taylor. If I do those two things will be my new favorite accessories! ;D
I'm not sure, because we did just get it, and haven't camped w/it yet, but I love our BAL leveler and chock. We got a great deal on them from a gentleman on craigslist that had moved up from a pup, to an RV. We paid $70 for both, and I think they are well worth it. Oh, and DH picked up one of those Colman toasters, so no more toasting bread on a fork over the camp stove to make toast! 🙂
Favorites change as we change. First was the BAL leveler then we moved up to dual axel pup and couldn't use it anymore. Then the popup gizmos. Now we are in a TT so not sure yet what would be my favorite gadget. Sure do appreciate not having to stand on my head to get items out of low storage areas. LOL!
Today it's my brand new pup tires! And by the end of the day, they'll all have custom covers too. I am making those out of repurposed awning material that is left over from my rear awning mod. https://www.facebook.com/media.....9d152596a4 Which come to think of it is also a great thing to have.
I know this will sound corny, but the most useful thing I've ever brought camping with my DH & 2 DS's is my sense of humor, resourcefulness, and, most importantly, my determination to make the best of every situation.
A close second is paper and a writing utensil so that I can write down what I forgot to bring so that I won't forget it next time ;D
I said earlier in this thread that my favorite camping gadget is the latest one I picked up.....I just picked up a 40 foot string of rope lights at a garage sale for $5. LOVE THEM
I strung them along the camper to provide some light and there was enough left over to run to and around the fire ring.....which was close to the camper and in a real tripping hazard. On Sat night DW mentioned something about light on the table to eat so I just picked up the end of the lights and ran them down the middle of the table while we ate.
Like a kid, the rope lights will be my favorite gadget until I get the next new toy.

It was made over on the coast... A friend purchased it and hasn't used it at all so it stays with me. Very easy to build though. One 26" implement disc blade. Fill in the center bolt hole with welded in flat stock. Weld on handles - for me would be horse shoes, and have two stainless rings made. One to stabilize the bottom on the cooker, and the one you see on the inside to keep the food from sliding back down into the oil.
