Do you carry a first-aid kit when camping?  Do you have just bandades or more?

I generally carry an aid bag like I would have on the ambulance (I'm an EMT). Sometimes it gets left behind and I only have a plastic first aid kid, a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, a needle, burn relief spray, and OTC meds.

We carry a fairly complete first aid kit (although nowhere near as complete as thingette1's, I'm sure!) in the camper and there's always a small, basic kit in my truck.

Knock on wood that we haven't needed anything more than a few basic things! Although with an active grandson going on 3, that could change ... we already have a stock of Cars bandaids!

I carry the first aid kit from home, it is on the list of things to pack included in toiletries.  It is in a hard sided red plastic box with a lid and handle.  I figure if it's something we need at home, it's something we need when away, so I just keep it all together.  The alcohol and peroxide do stay in the camper all season long.  THey're good for things besides first aid.  You can also buy some really comprehensive kits at bass pro, campers world, boat us, and cabellas.  They usually are in a roll or fold up vinyl or canvas tote.  the inside is all see thru plastic pouches, so you open the compartment you need, and the rest stay closed, clean, and organized.  Thingette 1 and I have treated deep lacerations and shock as well as possible concussions at campouts, these are most severe things we have treated.  Last summer it would not have been uncommon to encounter someone in heat emergencies either, so would be a good idea to brush up on your symptoms lists before this summer starts.

I keep a  well stocked First Aide kit under the back seat of my truck so it is not just with me during camping.

I have a full first aid kit that I keep in the trailer all the time, plus one I carry in the truck year round. You can never kno when you may need it.
Also keep Cars and Princess bandaids in both for the grandkids.

Grim,

I do the same thing,  when its time to stock up on bandaids, I'm always looking for something different.  🙂

Here are a couple you should check out!  The grandkids will like these too. "Good Stuff..Good Fun"

Bacon Bandaids

Pickle Bandaids
