How many people have you had stay in your camper?  We have a trip planned in a few weeks with a friend and his family, it's 4 adults and 4 kids total.  They were originally planning to stay in a tent but maybe more comfortable with the heat this time of the year.

Can't lie, I'm a little nervous.

We've only ever had one extra to make five. Two of those are 7 and 2 and half though.  Our pup is advertised as sleeping 8.  I say 7 comfortably.  We've talked about bringing along friends of ours with kids to make 8.  I'd probably crash in the tent with the other dad.

I'd take a tent along and set it up for the kids....  adults and kids between the ages of months to age 5 sleep in the pup,,, everyone else out in the tent ...

I have not had many people in my pup.  I agree with snow- bring a tent and put the kids in a tent.  They won't mind it, in fact they will probably love it.

Had 6 adults and one child for one night when the rain flooded the others out.  Had 5 adults and one child, all family, on vacation and it worked fine.  I think we may have also camped one weekend with 6 adults and one child.  I don't think I would go for 8 if I could keep from it but that is up to you.  The tent idea sounds pretty good to me.  I have seen a lot of them with window A/C units blowing in the windows.  Maybe that would work for them.  Good luck!

Total of three, but the camper was the Roll-A-Home in the picture below.  It's made for two.

We don't have any kids, but we hosted an exchange student from Siberia a few years ago, and we wanted to show her as much of the U.S. as possible.  The camper helped make that possible.  It had one king sized bed and a 6.5 X 4 foot floor space.  We put an air-mattress topped cot in the floor space for her, which left 6.5 feet X 18 inches of floor space to get in and out of the camper.  During the 11 months that she was with us, we camped just over 30 nights in our little camper.  She was quite a good sport, and a very good guest!  🙂

How long is the trip for ??  if its just a weekend then you'll probably get by with everyone in the pup..  if its longer, I'd be taking a tent and putting the older kids in that ...

We camp as six with four teenage sons with adult looking bodies.  We have two king bunk ends and the dining area is u-shaped and makes a king bed, so we COULD "comfortably" sleep nine.  More in the add a room, if we needed.
