If there was one thing you wish you knew before buying your camper, what would it be?

The winning Lotto numbers  :lmao:

When I bought my first camper I knew it was going to be a learning experience.  I paid $600 for my first small popup and after ever trip my wife and I took we discussed what she liked and would like to be better.  We then upgraded to a better and bigger popup camper and then finally upgraded to my 3rd camper that turned out to be a Class C.  My wife is happy with the camper now (still not crazy about camping) but we are happy with our choice of camper.

We are happy with how we came to own our class C and the journey.  We never lost money on the prior campers which is a big plus.

Matt O 2006 Skyline Nomad 27' travel trailer.  Previously owned 1986 Coleman Columbia / 1992 Coleman Senecca / 1989 Born Free Class C RV.

How much "stuff" I thought I needed to go along with it.

...how much more I would camp after getting the popup. If I had known that, I would have ditched the tents sooner & camped a lot more!

That my grown children and grandchildren would never go camping with us and we would have gotten the SL model (living room) rather than the extra fixed bed.

Hmmmm!  Lets see. If I could have been clued in to 1 thing BEFORE I bought my FIRST camper. I guess I would have liked to know that it would become such an addiction that it would make more sense to buy a "four season" camper to live in---and rent an apartment for those few weekends a year that you want to escape "to" reality.

Know how how much you can tow, don't guess, but know. This may be a gray area for some dealers to sell you more than you can you can tow.

Put in a more powerful microwave.  That way, when I precook at home, it doesn't take so long to heat up and serve.
