There are some great mobile apps available that are free and many with advance version that are a minimum cost.

Here is an app that is available for some states in the US and cover great details on the State Parks and activities.

Does the bartender app count?  I've used it while camping.

The Google Earth app is always good to have. The Lookout app for android is good for keeping out viruses and stuff. There's also the Linda Manager app that manages your files and memory. Pandora is good for free music. You tell them your favorite artists and it will pick their music and others like them for you. Urban Spoon is good for finding restaurants where ever you are. ScanLife is good for scanning barcodes on items and a QR reader for those funny looking square barcodes. They're all available free for android phones at market.androids.com. My wife has an iPhone 4 and she has similar apps from the Apps Store.

I installed a Campfire Stories app and it's great sitting around the campfire.  Oh and it's free.

We have some of those apps for CrackBerry, too.  Depending on the model of phone.

I posted this elsewhere, but the state of Michigan offers a free BlackBerry app for their SP's.
Also, Passport America also offers an app.
