I have been trying to find a place to weigh our new camper and one of my coworkers suggested a place he drives by that has a scale. I called and was told it was $8 for the first one and $1 for each additional measurement they take. Stopped by today and weighed the HTT. When I went to pick up the numbers from the scale operator he asked if I needed the numbers certified. When I said no he then said have a great day and told me it was no charge. Turned out to be a nice surprise for the day.

4960  Total weight
4320 on the axles
640 calculated Tongue weight
13% wieght on the tongue

Not sure what the dry weight was for the trailer, I had already put most of the camping stuff in the camper. When I get home I can get the recorded numbers of the trailer and post them. My primary reason for getting the weight is because this HTT has a large storage compartment under the bunkhouse and completely behind the wheels. Of course I could pack it full but I wanted to make sure I wasn't taking to much weight off the tongue. I was surprised the measurements were what they are since the only compartments to be packed yet was the rear compartment. Good for me to know since now I know I can pack it heavy if I need to with no issues.

according to RV.web and NADA, its dry weight is 3790lbs.!

so, that's over a thousand pounds above its dry weight. 😮
now you know why people say that you shouldn't use "dry" weights for real-world weights.
