If you could change one thing to better your camping, what would it be?  Assuming money (within reason) isn't the problem

The one thing I would change to better my camping would be to get a 5day cooler.  Within reason..... I can't afford a new trailer with a fridge but I can get a new cooler to help keep my ice longer.

Matt O 2006 Skyline Nomad 27' travel trailer.  Previously owned 1986 Coleman Columbia / 1992 Coleman Senecca / 1989 Born Free Class C RV.

I'd take longer trips.  Ours are mostly of the weekend variety (that darn work thing gets in the way all the time) and it seems like a lot of work for a relatively short period of time.  Perhaps a 4 day trip would be nice.  More time to relax.

I'd like to be able to use the porta potty without unhitching.  ;D

(I can't even open the door without unhitching because the front bunk slides into rails on the door. At least I don't have to worry about the door flopping open.)

Does creating more hours in a day (only days spent camping, though  ;)) count?

How about 4 day weekends every weekend?

Longer trips.  Dw and I are rotating shift workers.  Between the DW's schedule and mine we never seem to get more than three days off together.

Would like to find more secluded spots that I can drive to and more days to go.

Longer camping season at PA state parks. A few (and just one within weekend driving distance) are open year-round and a few are open through late fall, but most close before the end of October and don't open till mid-April.

We were at Cowans Gap last weekend and although (a small part of) the campground is open they have bowed to the pressure of budget cuts and keep only one shower house open ... the one at the beginning of the campground. Unless you're in a pet site you have a long walk. And other than one spigot all water is shut off, even at the dump station. ???
