PUGs are a great product and Bob's customer service is top-notch.

but, depending on the size of your bunk ends, you can also use "solar blankets". they are also known by other names, such as sportsmen blankets or all-weather blankets.
they are a standard 5x7 size with grommets.
you can get them from Cabelas, REI, Campmor, Bass Pro and other internet companies. they sell for around $14.

but if you want custom-fitted ones, go with PUGs. i am lucky in that my Roo's ends are almost exactly 5x7.
so i use the solar blankets with office binder clips and bungees.

I was going back and forth about making or buying solar covers and decided to let the professional do their job, mine would be average at best.  I ordered them last night and can't wait to get them.

I had made a set for our Flagstaff, but when we sold that and bought the Niagara I decided to take advantage of Gizmo's Black Friday sale and get the super high wind covers.

The blankets I used for the Flagstaff were far too small for the Niagara and with the extra height of the high wall the super high wind will be easier to put on -- no clips to install around the bunk end!

For those who have had the home made and the Gizmos, did you notice a big difference between the two? Excluding the work involved putting them on, was the additional cost worth it?

I'd like to get a pair, but the Gizmo brand ones are a little beyond my budget at the moment.

Also, who leaves theirs on when closing up the camper, and who takes them off?

When I had my pop ups I had velcroed the Gizmos to the inside of the roof.  I left attached when closing, just folded them in with the canvas.  Never had an issue.

We use Cabela's Sportsman's Space Blankets and plastic clips we got at Walmart.

That does work, I used your mod and if I contort my body under the bunk and put arms out over/between the bunk supports I can lock the 2 sides together by myself, works, Thanks 8)

I ordered a set of PUGs for my pup about a month ago, they arrived very quickly, hopefully I'll be testing them out soon!

Has anyone purchased the Solar Bunk Liners?  Gizmos are slated for a late summer purchase and am considering the liners<
