We went to a large RV/Boat show in Lake Charles, La. today.  Lots of motor homes, lots of 26 foot+ TT's and fivers...There were two truck campers and not a single pop up  to be seen...I just don't understand???Vern

Maybe the profit just isn't there.

As the US adopts CUVs  that can't tow squwat even pups are SOOL.  Coleman saw the writing on the wall!
8ft pups are not everyone's cup of tea.

our local show had 1 dealer with pup5 pups. 2 Colemans and 3 Vikings. There were also a few A frames around. I liked the Rockwood A I saw.

We are hoping things are a little different this year since we will be attending the local rv show. http://www.stlrv.com

The profit margin is higher on big TTs and motor homes. Dealers would rather stock their expensive RV show spot with the flashiest, highest profit units.

It also depends on the show, and who they are trying to target ...  Here we have two main spring time shows..  The one show will have everything from popups to 3/4 of a million dollar diesel pushers...  The other show will have mid priced TT's up through the 1/2 million dollar motor homes and also have the large "park model" homes ..  these things are almost like a mobile home..  some are smaller and some are actually bigger, they are to be parked on seasonal sites and used like a cottage...

I prefer the first show which has everything from inexpensive tent trailers all the way up to the high end TT's ...  I get a laugh out of the Motor Home folks who show up ...
