As the winter season starts to come into the north and our campers are packed away, its a great time to check out the new features and specials at your local RV Show. It is one location to see the new models, amenities, compare pricing and overall construction side by side.

If you check the show websites, many offer discount coupons for admission.
There are groups that get together in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts during the show.

For the past three years, it has been a tradition with several of the CanvasCamper members to attend Lehigh Valley RV and Campgrounds Show and Sale at Agri-Plex Agricultural Hall in Allentown,PA. It is being held from January 13,14 and 15. Many of the members gather before and after the show at our home. For more information go to http://www.AllentownTradeShows.com. If interested in joining us for the before and/or after gathering send me an email.
The DC show was this past weekend as well. We were able to drop off the kids at a friend's house for a play date, so we had a leisurely stroll through the show for a change this year.
One local dealer is always there with a selection of a handful of pop-ups. As usual, they were the only ones. They used to be a Fleetwood/Coleman dealer, but have apparently switched to Viking now that Coleman closed up shop. We bought our first popup from them, and it's good to see they're still around. The only other close local dealer handles mostly larger MH, 5th and H/TT.
I finally got to go through the Jayco X213 hybrid (bunk beds up front with a hard-sided king bunk slide in the back). It was my second choice after the Palomino/Roo/Shamrock 3-bunk hybrids. It would have worked just as well for us, except the shower is *really* short. I'm 5'10" and I had to bend over ever so slightly. In our Palomino, I still have some room above my head even without the domed skylight.
It seems like they had more smaller TTs and MHs than I remember in years past. I also noticed what seemed a trend toward very low ceilings in the ultralights. Maybe it's always been that way and I just never looked closely enough.
I got this info passed on to me from one of my friends in Ontario, Canada.

I've seen a couple ads on TV for a show in Idaho, probably Coeur d'Alene, but I'm not sure. I'll keep an eye out and update when I see it again.
