As we start reorganizing the camper for this year and now packing the shower bags.  We use the campground showers rather than the one in the camper.  We keep 2 shower bags, one for the girls and one for the guys.  I wonder what goodies have you found, tips, tricks, and other ideas for campground showering?

Soap, shampoo, toothpaste?

I always keep a small plastic or metal wreath style door hanger with my shower bag to be able to hang my towel/or shower bag over any stall door to keep it dry and clean, sometimes there isn't enough hooks for clothes and towels. or no bench to put your clean dry stuff on. You can buy them at the dollar store or You can also simply make one from a metal hanger and bend it in the shape of a elongated squared " S".

I keep small sizes (refillable) bottles of shampoo/conditioner and soap in a plastic box  in a baggie to take in the shower. My shower clogs are kept in a plastic bag until needed and the back in wet as I dress.  All my items are kept in a tote bag with waterproof liner. I made a pocket out of a hand towel  sewed onto my bath/beach towel to hold my eyeglasses and keys, etc.

Love the idea of an extra door hook, Thanks Vik-king.  Going shopping for that one.

We use the collapsible laundry bags (the small ones).  No parfumed soaps, unless they are lemon citrus glycerin or even good ol' lye soap.  This helps with the 'sketers.  I try to find natural shampoos also citrus scented.  The flipflops for shower shoes, soap dish, toothbrush holder and towel all fit in the bag nicely.

For toting things to showers, we reuse plastic grocery bags and portion out body wash and shampoo into travel-size containers (if something is left behind/lost, at least it isn't the full container).  After that, we reuse the bags for garbage.  I'm not confident about my DS's or DH's attention to detail when it comes to choosing the least germ-ridden spot to set down their stuff; that is why I personally shy away from shower caddies, etc.

Wow!

Well I have a Dopp Kit that I use for travel, either road or campground.

Usually I just grap the Dopp kit, towel, soap, warsh rag & clean undies and go.  For the pup I keep all that in one of the reusable grocery bags.

Over the door hanger is a good idea.

I usually shower light.  Body wash and towel are the only things I bring with me to the shower.

I change into my clean clothes, wear my flip flops, carry my towel, and bring a bottle of body wash that I use for body and hair.

I have a plastic shoe holder (clear) that holds all toiletries (little bottles). Roll it up, put towel around it. Came with hangers that work over the door OR wall. Nothing has to be set down. Just put it back in the pocket after use. I do try to not fill the pocket with water, shake the bottle or item off a little then place it in.

I hang it up in the PUP when I am done so it can dry.
