Should you remove the snow on your camper during the winter?

Well, let me explain it this way.  The weight of snow varies greatly.  Light fluffy snow may only weigh about seven or eight pounds per cubic foot.  A more average snow may weigh 15 pounds per cubic foot and drifted or compacted wet snow may weigh 20 pounds or more..."

The owners manual recommends a maximum of 150 lbs for a roof lifted (open) and 300 lbs for a roof closed.  My camper roof measures 12' x 7'5" so...
a light snow with a 6" snowfall weighs 356 lbs, an average 6" snowfall weighs 623 lbs and a heavy snowfall can weight 890 lbs.

Bottom line... CLEAR THE SNOW OFF YOUR CAMPERS ROOF, it will love you for it.  😉

Joe,
that kinda sounds like a SNOW job.... 🙂

Anyhow, that is good advice.

Can you stop on the way up Friday night and help me clean off the roof of the Passport? 😉

No need Joe, I got ladders. Just need a huge ice chipper to get to them in the upper shed. Probably about 40 inches of snow turned into ice in front of the doors. 🙁

looked at a pup last year that had a huge bow to the center.  Looked like a fish bowl.
