Yep, works like a champ. Using a Hitach 18V cordless drill (450 torque), I could raise my 2008 Seapine roof with AC with no problem. Throw on a 3/4" socket with universal and up goes the BAL leveler and down goes the Stabilizers.

I made mine for the Coleman with a $1.99 spark plug socket from Harbor Freight. Easy. Works for the lift and stabilizers. I forget the torque on my 18V Makita but it works OK. I was going to get a bigger drill for it but I'm OK with this being just enough, but not enough to easily rip the lift system apart if there's a problem.

Will this thing work for the lift and stabilizers? Can I buy one for the BAL Leveler also?
For the Bal Leveler and most stabilizers, you can use a standard 3/4" socket.

I had my first use with the BAL Leveler this weekend. I love it but I found my drill would not work. Maybe if I greased up the shaft some it would but it didn't seem even close. My impact gun did do it and I had that camper WAY up in the air, but it was hard on the Leveler and I don't think I'll be trying again. My drill works great for the camper itself, but I think from now on it will be the hand wrench for the Leveler.
If it weren't for cranking up the pup, and some other chores (mowing the lawn, edging and trimming.....) I wouldn't get any exercise at all.
It takes 40 turns of the crank to raise my Epic's roof. Is that REALLY beyond the ability of most people?
I mean, Cheese Whiz, people........... How many of you hire maids and butlers when you camp?
Well I'm 44 with no major issues, although things certainly don't work quite like they used to. My drill is in the truck anyway as I use it for work and my work van is also the camping mule. It absolutely saves me time, especially on the stabs, and frankly is just more fun. But for me even if it saves two minutes between the stabs and the lift it's worth it. In another year or so it won't be much of an issue but right now my son is still into everything and causes constant problems. The faster I get that thing up and secure the easier my life is.
I don't care how you go about it, no matter what camping is still work. If I can save a few minutes on something then I will.
I took the camper to a local campground on Friday so my kids could use it for the weekend. I strained or tore something in my shoulder while cranking it up and was in misery for three or four days. A Socket Jenie is next on my list. I'm envious of the people who say it takes 50 cranks. I counted the first time I put it up and it's 110. Since I'm over 65, I'm not doing anymore cranking. Growing old is hard work.
