I have held off the DW as long as I could. I had her convinced that we didn't need a bathroom in a camper but SHE HAS SPOKEN!! We will be making a trip to Nashville on Tuesday to look at a TT. I hope I can still play with you guys without be looked down on .

Why do you need a travel trailer to have a bathroom?

It came down to price. I have been shopping for months and I have found that pop ups with a toilet cost nearly as much as a TT with a full bathroom. If we purchase the one that we found we will have sleeping arrangements for the DW and I and 3 kiddos without anyone sleeping on the dinette. More storage is also an issue.

If it has an awning, it still has canvas.  So, you're all good.

It's okay, Camp Dad. The dark side has been calling us too. Looking at a Keystone Outback. DH said "I'm not too worried about towing it,  but can we still attend a PUP Rally?" ;D
Oh, and we may have a very lovely PUP for sale soon, cheap, with a bath. Old but in good condition. With a brand new pulley system for the roof. lol. (A SPUT story) DH and I are getting old, and by the time we get everything set up, we're too tired to play.  :'(

... and if you don't have an awning, I have a can of paint and the color name is "new canvas"  :2funny:

Camp Dad and Surgipat, for what it is worth, We will still love to have you camp with us and at the rally! We don't care if you go to the dark side, but we do understand and we know where you started from!  ;D

Yup....we started with the best group of PUP rallyers on the east coast. Maybe in the whole United States.  ;D
Seriously, though, Fire Captain, just don't be surprised if you see a For Sale sign on our rig when we pull into the Rally, because we are thinking about it. We might just show up at the Fall Rally in a TT. (I think that's the right abbreviation for a hard-side trailer)

See you all real soon!

Tent, PUP, TT, HTT, MH, in between....We have a great group of fellow campers who love getting together and having a great time in the beautiful outdoors. Doesn't matter what covers your head as long as it's camping! Whatever floats your boat.....which reminds me. Last month we were camping with the micbur gang and someone was camping in a sailboat after micbur left!

We 'relented' & got the bathroom when our daughter was abut 9 & I knew it would be me having to take her  to the bathhouse in the middle of the night  -so it was kind of a safety consideration actually. but to keep 'pure' we still do a fair amount of primitive tent camping with all the fun of finding a good tree & hoping a bear doesn't show up!

Fundamentally, I'm a die-hard backpacker. For me, the dark side is still a Thermarest mattress.

Excuse me, I must go out and check to see that the popup is locked....

Beautiful, Miles! I'll bet Sherelia and the kids - even the little one - will love the extra room. You'll have to show it off at our spring rally!
