What does everyone use as a trash can while camping? Do you keep a second one for recyclables?
We carried a metal can that was large and noisy, then a collapsible can like the one pictured that only last 2 seasons. Now we are considering this can holder so we are using less space.

I use a collapsible can like you have in the picture. $10 at Harbor Freight. I use big trash bags in it and I used to put the recyclables (ie: Beer Cans) under the garbage bag. I have since picked up another collapsible can at a yard sale for $1...I think it was supposed to be a clothes hamper. Now I have a recyclable can and garbage can.

We mostly use the grocery store plastic bags for garbage inside the camper and then throw that into the outside "kitchen size" white bags with the drawstring. The white bag sits in a fold-down square top and bottom that lies flat until the three 3-part legs are are set up and the lid and bottom attached. The white bag then attaches to an inner frame on the top section. I'm sure you have seen these. Can't remember the exact cost but it was probably around$10 and is very compact and lightweight and measues about 14" x 3" when taken down and put away. At the end of the day when dinner is done, the white bag is pulled closed and tied so we can take it to the trash bin or dumpster. We don't like to leave trash outside, especially with food scraps, or with the dogs inside either.
