I don't know that it's ever to early to plan your next trips.  ;D
Thoughts and suggestions would be great?

How about one in New York, one in Maryland and one in Jersey

March: French Creek SP, PA
April: Hickory Run SP, PA
May:
- Otter Lake CG, PA
- Taconic SP, NY
- Lake Glory CG, PA
June: Raystown, PA
July: Maryland?
August:
September: New Jersey?
October: Promised Land or Lackawanna
November: Pine Grove or Caledonia, PA

Who would want to camp in NJ? I don't mean that the wrong way either. :-
Just kidding, well maybe not. I think the NY'ers are beginning to get to me.
Surely there must be a good campground there.
Last time I looked along the Jersey shore down to Cape May, it didn't look like any CG's were on the water. :'(

I have a suggestion for a July Rally at Selkirk Shores SP in Pulaski ,NY on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. We've camped there before and it's a beautiful spot.
Selkirk Shores
Also and this is a big one, there is a huge Renaissance Festival in Sterling, NY (about 1/2hr away)
Ren Festival/
It's a trip, but one of the Best Ren faires we have ever been to.
It's only open weekends in July and August. Sites have electric. But not water. Water is in each loop though.
Due to the distance, members might want to book for more than a weekend. We would probably do at least 4 days, maybe 5.

Weekend July 15 to17th ???????
Any thoughts?

Sorry about the confusion, this is the correct ren fest.

Pulaski & Tuxedo Parkare a little more than a 1/2 hour away from eachother.  Its more like 6 or 8 hours.

Much better.

The ren fair in Tuxedo isn't worth a 10 minute drive let alone 8 hours lol.

Phil or Dawn:

Are there any good campgrounds in Jersey?

Last time I checked, the SP in NJ didn't allow dogs, and I don't think many of them have electric available - which limits when I'd be interested in going. But this is my experience with North NJ State Park camping, perhaps Phil can chime in with central/southern NJ State Park camping.

There are some decent private campgrounds (I think), we haven't been to any of them personally, but could check them out and let the group decide...

There is a nice county park (w/electric) in Morris County (Jefferson Township exit 34 I-80). There isn't much to do there except enjoy the hiking/biking trails. But the place is only a little more than an hour away from NYC if that appeals to anyone.

Some of the private campgrounds up in Sussex and Hunterdon along the Delware river are great. I can't remember about facilities, but I also used to tent camp alot at Delaware Water Gap.

Any date set for April?  The weekend of April 8th is the same weekend we camped in April of 2010.  It is also not a conflict for Palm
Sunday or Easter for those who attend church. Just a thought.  😀 stp  :-X stph  nutz

H2S, from what I've seen many members are in/around PA.  That's not to say ALL members are.
I'm in Northeastern NC.  VA state parks have always been high on our list.
What do you have in mind?
