French Creek is open year round. You could always zip over & do a solo shakedown trip with your new rig  🙂
Congrats! What did you get?

Busdriver, we picked up a new Jay Feather X17Z. I may just have to make a trip to test it out. When we got the PUP we went to a local campground in February to test it out.

Mike, if you make a trip up the french creek, let me know.  I'm always up for camping and I carry 3 of everything if you had any problems.

Yeah, I'm up for camping in the winter as well.  We could have a Pre-Opener

Yes, the campground needs to be tested out to make sure it's ready for the group  😉

The Season Opener is almost here

Time to start thinking about the FOOD  :chef:  What are you thinking of bringing to the pot luck?

A few years ago, we had a lunch pot luck  with grilled hot dogs, hamburgers and all the fixings.  That was really yummy and fun :).

Paula, the fixin bar was fun but this group is to large and we will need to do it another time. Anyone can bring anything including hotdogs and hamburgers.

I'll leave the meal planning to the man who wears the big hat :cowboy:  A pot luck lunch sounds great for another rally.

Hey Paula, Joe beat me to it, but with this rally being in the neighbor hood of 70 people, something like that is difficult to manage.  (been there done that).

Joe, Matt, do we smell a theme yet - let's see if we get the kind of dedication we had for the Purple Theme Dinner at Raystown Lake Rally.

The Purple theme would have been great last weekend  :cheerleader:

Does anyone have an idea for a theme or preference.  I remember one of the suggestions was Alphabet. Apple Pie, Blueberry pancakes, Chicken, Dumplings, etc.    ::)

I like the idea of a chili cook off, or I was thinking we are going to have a large fire with good coals and many people have Dutch Ovens, anyone want to have a Dutch Oven Cook Off?  Most creative meal in a Dutch Oven, Best Presentation, Best taste?
