We aren't going to only eat chili.....We would definatly be reenacting the Blazing Saddles campfire scene then.

Anyone can bring whatever they want to the potluck.

4 weeks from now I'll be backing into the campsite

What is everyone planning on doing?  Anything interesting?  I may bring my niece and nephew with me and go on a nice long hike.  I haven't seriously hiked at French Creek in 5 years.  Any trails you would recommend?

I've been thinking of ways to make hikes more enjoyable for my boys and get them to actually look around them for a change.  It's amazing how myopic they can be.

I Like the Scavenger hunt idea.  It will keep them excited and looking for the next item on the list rather than "Are we there yet".

I'm thinking about bringing sauerkraut and kielbasa. If the chili doesn't bring on the tootin' maybe the sauerkraut will   I might bring mashed potatoes too, but they will not be as good as Dawn's. She is the expert mashed potato maker.

Fresh or smoked kielbasa?  I love the way the fridge smells when you have a ring of fresh kielbasa in it :goodstuff:

For what it is worth, We planned a scavenger hunt at our Fall rally while the Adults played a corn hole tourinment. We had the kids to look for things around where we was having the adults playing. They had to find someone with a red hat, a blue waste water tote, pine cones, acrons, etc. They had a blast. Fw Arcadia headed up the scavenger hunt and he is doing it agin for this up coming Rally. He had some small prizes when they finished the hunt from the dallor store and some glow sticks for later that night.

Having a slight mechanical glitch at the moment, but it should be resolved by the opener.  See everyone then!

Ok, I say we have the chili cook off at 5pm on Sat and potluck dinner at 6pm including what chili is remaining.  We will have a group campfire during and after these activities. Bring your chairs, paper products and beverage.

We may have a trivia or similar game too?

For Friday night - late night around the bonfire, Hot wings, some baked, some fried, some flavored.

So Badseed,  where are you planning to sleep Saturday night?  Our popup will not be able to handle the two of us together that night.  Too Dangerous 😀
