The Mulligans are interested in holding a rally down our way at Milburn Landing in the Pocomoke River State Park. We chose the second week of August when the group would normally be doing Promised Land. We have put the extended dates down in case anyone wants to stay the whole week there. As of now, there are no reservations for sites during that time at the park. It is one of our favorite places to camp.
Milburn Landing has one camping loop with 10 tent sites and 20 electric sites and 6 camper cabins and a new bathhouse. The loop is right on the Pocomoke River. There is a kayak and canoe launch, boat ramp, fishing pier, awesome playground, softball field, and two wonderful pavilions. There are hiking and biking trails in the park and in the Pocomoke State Forest which is adjacent to the park. The camping loop is nestled in pine trees so there is plenty of shade even in August. The whole loop is pet-friendly. Many campers end up there instead of the park's Shad Landing Campground because their dogs are welcome there but restricted to one loop at Shad and end up loving the campground.
Milburn Landing is located on the northern side of the Pocomoke River on Nassawango Road between Rt 13 and Rt 12/near Rt. 113. Both Rt 13 and Rt 113 are straight shots 2.5 hours down from the intersection of I95 and Rt 1 outside of Wilmington, DE. It is close to Ocean City, MD and Assateague, MD on the seaside and Crisfield, MD on the bayside. It is also fairly close to Chincoteague and Assateague, VA. And close to our house if anyone wants to do a quick daytrip to Onancock, VA on the Chesapeake Bay! There is a pool at Shad Landing which is not that close by car but an easy boat trip in our Carolina Skiff which will be there for trips up and down the river and for tubing.
An important note: the park is not big-rig friendly. Maximum trailer length is around 30 ft. If you want to bring in something bigger, we can let you know which sites can handle bigger.
Please let us know if you are at all interested. Here is a link to the park.

Looks like there is things for the younger kids, we are planning to attend.
We look forward to having you and Peggy down our way. There's hiking, biking, fishing, tubing and a playground at the campground and a pool, camp store and arcade a short boat ride away. The Chesapeake Bay and Ocean City / Assateauge are a nice day trip.

Changing to attending as well as my brother. Any certain sites we want to reserve or just book?

Seeing that you have a Jayco X23F that is close to the size of our KZ I'd recommend site 17 (our favorite) if you want to be close to the bath house or sites 23 or 36 if you don't mind the walk. You'll fit in some of the other sites but it may be a slight challenge with all the trees.

Thanks for the recommendations, I was looking at them last night. Want to make sure I can get my beds down.

You have a rear and side bunk! Our old Starcraft only had a side and front so I know the side is no problem. I 'm pretty sure 17 would be fine. I think the other two have trees directly behind the pad, though I don't see a problem because the sites are deep. If there were to be a problem we can switch with you, 11 is wide open (but no shade).
I looked and I think I can get in there no problem, our slide may not work, but we will see, I think I can get the tree between the bunk and the slide.
I booked 17 for Friday(12) til Monday(15) and my brother is in 18.
Looking forward to this, we always pass the park on our way to Hatteras and I keep telling my wife we should chck it out. Thanks for setting this up.
Best Regards,
Norm

One of my local camping buddy's and I used the 17/18 combo a lot when our families camped together. He put his 28ft Jayco in 17 and we put our hybrid in 18. That's the closest that park had for a buddy site.

Trying to book site 19. Did anyone reserve it it says it is wondering if we could switch a site with you so we can be next to ace ?
Axle-Mobile, Please double check your dates and that you are reserving in the Pocomoke River State Park and the loop is Milburn Landing Nanticoke (Electric). I just checked the DNR reservation site and it shows site 19 is available.

We have booked site 34 from Wed-Sun, not sure if it's really on the water like the map shows but hope we can see it.
Joe, there is a stand of trees between you and the river approximately 15 feet wide. You can see the river through the trees. I have a picture on my phone from our last trip up there I'll try to get them posted.
