Some fun things to do in the area include:

*The SteamTown Train Ride.  They have long and short excursions.  The short trips are $5/person and tickets are bought the day of.  The longer trips on Steamtown National Historic Site’s trains take you to several destinations to give you a sample of the individual towns along the rail lines. Historic locomotives pull early-20th century passenger cars to take you on a journey into the past.
All long excursion reservations must be prepaid.  Tickets are non-refundable unless park management cancels an excursion. Phone (570) 340-5204 between 9:30am and 4:00pm for more information to purchase tickets. Please visit us online at http://www.nps.gov/stea/planyo.....nrides.htm

*Keystone College Observatory - Observatory Public Viewing and Lecture Programs Our programs offer an illustrated lecture, and if the sky is clear, observation of the night sky through the telescopes. Objects to be viewed include the moon, the planets, double stars, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies, weather permitting The scheduled programs are provided as a community service and are free of charge. No registration required.

The public lectures and viewing sessions will be conducted with a session on Friday evening. Lecture time: 7:30 p.m.  https://www.keystone.edu/observatory/

*Wineries!:
Maiolatesi Wine Cellars          http://www.maiolatesiwinecellars.com/
Capra Collina Winery             http://www.capracollinawinery.com/
III Ponds Winery                     http://www.iiipondswinery.com/

Weather permitting, we plan to go to the Observatory on Friday evening and hit the wineries on Saturday,
maybe have lunch at Maiolatesi’s (their kitchen opens at 1pm).
If anyone is interested in joining us for the wineries, let me know as some of them require reservations
for more than 8 people.

2HappyCampers,

Great information, thank you for sharing.  We will most likely join you.  DW would be arriving Friday evening until later so it will just be me.

There has never been any firewood available at the campground or local so Jello Steve is going to buy a pickup load from a neighbor and bring it. It's about $35, $5-$7 or site if you split it.

FYI, this is the rally that Jello's van caught on fire and we had to learn everyone's last names because the rangers called me saying "Hello, is this JoeCamper?  we received a call from the local police and a guy your camping with, who doesn't know your name or telephone number, that you met online, and are hanging out with in the woods for the weekend... his camper caught fire"
