Paula,
Yes, that was funny when Christine was trying to chase the cat away. Mocha (the doggie) was getting upset because the cat was there. So Christine decided to go chase the cat away. I loved how she was making all these motions and acting all threatening 😮 -- what did the cat do? Just stare at her and proceed to clean himself. Gotta love cats!
Also, when we showed up, we saw the world's slowest lawn mower. The guy took two hours to slowly mow our portion of the campground. Pretty funny.
OK, I just did a little homework assigned to me by the famous brass ring steal'n :cowboy:. If you go to Bloomsburg Fair website, http://www.Bloomsburg Fair.com (dah), you will find tons of information on all the entertainment, vendors, ticket prices, etc. Some of the events that I saw listed are a tractor/truck pull, horse racing, horse and pony pull,Gold Rush high dive and Dock Dog. All family oriented events. The cost of admission is $5 and parking is $5. The admission gate opens at 7:00AM and closes at 9:00PM. Looks like tons of fun.

I was just commenting to someone last weekend that I remember those from growing up in Iowa and I thought my kids would enjoy seeing one. They're not exactly common in the DC area, though.
It looks like they have the tractor/truck pull on Sat (9/24) at 7pm, as well as a figure-8 (demolition) race at 1pm. Unfortunately, I think that was the day everyone was planning on going to Knobels.
Here's a direct link to the day-by-day calendar of events:

When I explored the Bloomsburg Fair website and looked at the daily events, for Friday, 8/23 there is a Vesper Service with Blue Grass music at the Grand Stand. This event is free of charge. I'm not sure if there will be vendors selling food, etc available as well. Some of you went on the first Friday last year. Can you enlighten us on what was available last year?
Wanna know your way around Knoebels? There's an App for that...
The Klass family is headed to camping at Otter Lake today thru Thursday. I'll be away from a computer source until then. While I'm away, please feel free to post any stories about your experiences at Knoebels, Bloomsburg Fair and Lake Glory. All will be appreciated. Also, when I return, I'll be working on the menu for the breakfast/brunch for Saturday, 9/24. Please add any ideas or what you may like to bring. I'll be thinking of all of you while camping at beautiful, hopefully not so rainy this time, Otter Lake.
The Klass family just returned from a great week at Otter Lake. I noticed a post suggesting that the breakfast occur on Sunday AM instead of Saturday. The suggestion for switching seems to be because some campers may want to go to the Bloomsburg Fair early first and then go to Knoebles. Saturday will be a very busy day for some campers trying to pack in both the fair and amusement park in one day. I checked with Lake Glory and was informed that check out is at 2:00PM for campers and 11:00AM for cabins. I would like to hear from other campers who are planning to attend this rally to see which would be the better day for them.
We are planning a breakfast get together at Lake Glory for either Saturday or Sunday, depending on the input we receive from those attending as to the better day and time. I would like to start posting what breakfast items you would like to bring. I plan to bring a french toast casserole. Some other ideas are to bring a egg casserole, bagels and muffins, bread for toasting and a four slice toaster, breakfast meats, OJ or other favorite juice for kids. Other items that would have to be prepared that morning are hash browns or fried potatoes, eggs, and pancakes. Any other suggestions are welcomed. Please post what day and time is better for you and what you may be bringing.

Hey Paula, Chef Pete still hasn't decided what, but I put a vote in for Saturday breakfast. For us, we have a packup system and I want to be able to socialize with everyone, it we do it Sunday, I feel we would run out early in order to start packup and getout based on schedule.
Saturday also seems to me to set the tone for the day better - Personal Opinion
