What time were you planning on having the breakfast on Saturday? That will be the deciding factor on what I bring, i.e. if more of a "brunch" (aroud 10 or 11 am), that would give me time to figure out some type of egg dish that can cook in the crock pot. It you are thinking 8:30/9:00 - then that changes my plan.

Hope you can convince DW. Knoebels is such a wonderful step back in time family fun place. We will all have to do a sundance to keep Lake Glory dry for that weekend.
I know all about Knoebles. My mothers family grew up about 20 minuets from there in a small town called Marion Heights. Trips to grandma's weren't complete without a night at Knoebles. I'm hoping to add to those good memories.
I sure hope this area will be ok for our rally. Our DD daughter who attends Bloomsburg University just informed us that the many areas are under water. Classes are canceled until at least Tuesday. She is headed to a friends house. Our area(Dingmans Ferry) also has several roads closed right now. Our schools were let out early.
Hershey/Hummelstown area schools closed early yesterday and they couldn't get some kids home. They are closed today without being able to get in or out of town.

I spoke to the park and they have every expectation that they will be operation next week. They flooded in March 2011 and know how to handle it.
Joe and I took advantage of the sun finally coming out today and did a 37 mile road bike ride. We were shocked to see water where we've never seen it before. In fact, we had to turn around several times and backtrack because the roads were simply not passable.
Amazing amount of water has fallen in NW NJ in the past 3 week...We've had something like 27 inches in August, and are already over the average for September by over 2 inches - and it is only 9 days into the month !
The only happy thought with all of this is - at least it isn't below freezing and it isn't the white stuff coming down 🙂
Knoebels will be open as scheduled for our camping weekend.
Knoebels had over 6,000 volunteers show up over the weekend and they had to turn people away. They just couldn't manage a group that large.
Current Knoebels Web Site Message:
We are currently closed due to extensive flooding.
Our goal is to repair enough of the park to open the weekend of September 17 & 18. It's too early to guarantee that. We know some rides will not be ready but hope that enough will. Check here for an update late in the day Wednesday.
